The Strata Council at Esprit is composed of a maximum of seven (7) Owners who are elected by their fellow Owners for the purpose of setting policy and seeing to it that the Strata Corporation operates smoothly. There must be at least four (4) members on Council.
Council Terms, Elections and Appointments
The term of office of a Council ends at the and of each Annual General Meeting at which a new Council is elected. At Esprit, our Annual General Meeting is held every February. Council elections take place at that time. Council terms, then, run from February to February – the same as our fiscal year. Council members ending their terms every February are eligible for re-election.
At any time, if a Council member resigns, or is unwilling or unable to act for a period of two or more months, the remaining members of the Council may appoint a replacement Council member for the remainder of the term.
